Depending on the place you rent in France, you might be able to receive financial support from the CAF (Caisse d’allocations familiales). Once you are enroled at university, you can apply on their website.

You can apply even if you have not received your social security number. They will create a temporary number for you.

The amount received depends on your situation. The date taken into account is not the day when you first paid your rent, but the day when you started your application*.

 *If you entered your accommodation in September but applied in November, the latest information will be taken into account for the payment of the housing aid. We recommend that you apply as soon as possible.
