Visa Application

Despite the following basic information, please keep in mind that the visa application procedure can vary from one country to another.

You will probably need to go to the closest French embassy in order to leave your passport there and provide them with all the documents.

Keep in mind that embassies can be quite busy. Thus, book your appointment in due time. Possible required documents are as follows:

  • Passport
  • Birth certificate (which you might need to translate to French)
  • Acceptance letter in a French educational institution
  • Proof of financial stability
  • Latest diploma (which you might need to translate to French)

You will also have to pay a fee to get your visa. This fee depends per country.

Note: Once you arrive in France, you will have to validate your visa through this website:

https://administration-etrangers-en-france.interieur.gouv.fr/particuliers/#/ . You will have 90 days after your arrival to get a checkup from the student health center, pay the fee, and input all the requested information.
