ICM significantly shaped my career by offering a comprehensive understanding of intercultural dynamics crucial in today’s global business landscape. The program’s emphasis on practical learning equipped me with essential skills for navigating complex intercultural situations through interactive sessions and workshops with experts from diverse backgrounds. My exchange semester in Sicily, focusing on immigration and integration issues, provided real-world insights into managing cultural diversity. The program’s flexibility in the research thesis allowed me to delve into my interest in « Immigration, Integration & HIV prevalence, » enhancing both my academic and professional development.

« Having a Master’s degree in ICM was something that attracted my employers. The courses and topics covered were related to their Human Responsibility programs. ICM presented a unique set of courses and topics that I found interesting. I was looking for a program that could help me shift my career from the business-focused field to something more directed towards Human responsibility and Social Impact while covering some business topics at the same time. ICM seemed to be the perfect program to facilitate this shift, and it definitely was. »

Testimonial:

I joined ICM because I wanted to widen my theoretical scope of how I viewed culture. I wanted to understand the global processes that manage culture. It helped me gain intercultural skills I didn’t know I needed but found to be crucial in the mediation of any big projects. This master helped me acquire a special perspective on my life and professional career. This master helped me find out what I really wanted to do with my knowledge and diplomas and how I could create an impact through intercultural management.

Although my professors from Art History recommended that I continue my education by doing masters at the same university (in Florence, Italy), ICM was my first choice all along. I found it extremely interesting and exactly what I needed.

Testimonial:

My career encompasses a top public French university’s international relations department with its international exchange students and international guest lecturers. The ICM programme, with all its diverse curricula in culture, communication, management, the research component, etc., have all been influential subjects in my current occupation as a foreigner working as a public agent for the French state within an international setting. It has helped me to better understand the work I do, to enjoy it, and to invest myself thoroughly in an intercultural environment.

I chose the ICM course at the University of Burgundy for a number of reasons. First, the course objectives matched my career ambitions. I have always wanted to work at a university with young people in an international environment. Secondly, I saw the opportunity for both academic and personal development through the research component of ICM. It is without doubt that my research thesis was one of the most powerful and instrumental aspects of my studies in ICM. Last but not least, the course is offered in a very beautiful region, with Franche Comté being my most favorite region in France.
