How to Apply

Application-form image-exampleThe procedure to apply to the race varies depending on the profile of the applicant, which should be one of the following:

Non-French nationals from a country with a Campus France procedure

Non-French nationals from a country without a Campus France procedure

French nationals or Non-French nationals who are already validated at least one year of higher education in France

Non-French nationals from a country with a Campus France procedure:

Candidates applying to any of these countries should create an account on the Campus France website  of their country of residence and apply before 31st December 2022.

ONLY applications made and following the procedures via Campus France will be taken into account. You must NOT send your application file by post or complete the International Office application form.

Once the application has been administered by Campus France, it will be transferred to the university. If your application is going through the first round of selection, the interview will be organized by an interview, in person or via Microsoft Teams. Results will be published shortly after the interviews, for each of the three waves of applications.

Non-French nationals from a country without a Campus France procedure:

Candidates from any country not listed above should apply directly through the « Mobility Online » web portal between 1st October and 31st December 2022. As long as your application has been started before 31st December 2022, you will be able to complete it after that date. The server will not take new applications after 31st December 2022.

The form should be self-explanatory, but please make sure you complete the « Planned Studies » section as shown in this screenshot:

Your application will be processed electronically and you will receive further instructions by email. You will be required to create a login to the « Mobility-Online » platform, and complete your personal information. Then you will need to upload the following documents (Word or PDF):

CV Please include your full resume in English, including your high school and higher education courses, your qualifications, any previous work experience, your interests and leisure activities.
Birth certificate Please make one document consisting of a scan of the original certificate plus (if the original is in another language) a translation into English or French.

Alternatively, it is possible to obtain another identity document (passport, driver ‘s license or national identity card), plus its translation if necessary.

Last year’s transcript of marks Please include your marks from last three years and make one document consisting of a scan of  the original document plus (if the originals are in another language) a translation into English or French.
Last completed degree Please make one document consisting of a scan of the original certificate plus (if it is in another language) a translation into English or French. If you have completed more, please include them all.

If you have not completed a higher education degree, please upload your high school diploma (+ translation) instead.

Cover (motivation) letter Please write a 2-3 page cover letter to explain why you want to follow this course of study, how it fits into your career plan, and what you feel that you would bring to the course.

If there is any other information you think we should know, please include it in the cover letter.

If you have an English language certificate (TOEFL, TOEIC, Cambridge, etc.) please scan it and include it at the end of the cover letter.

And nothing else! If the application requires you to upload any other documents, just upload a blank page in each case – the platform is still under development and this problem will be solved soon.

Once these documents are uploaded, your application will be processed by the International Office. Please do not contact ICM during / about this process, since we will not yet have received your application. Your contact should only be with the International Office. Once your application is complete, you will receive an email confirmation and the application will be considered to be one of the three waves of applications.

If your application gets through the first round of selection, the interview will be organized by an interview, in person or by Skype. Results will be published shortly after the interviews.

French nationals or Non-French nationals HAVING already validated at least one year of Higher Education in France:

Please fill in this application form, sign it, and send it with the necessary documents to by email to secretariat.icm@u-bourgogne.fr. It must be received before 31st March 2023 at the latest, but applications will be processed earlier, according to the applications calendar.
