I wanted to learn and grow in a field I am passionate about. The ICM program perfectly reflected my education and professional experience, while offering the exciting opportunity to live abroad. I’ve wanted to live in France and learn the language for years so it’s amazing to finally be here living out that dream!

I’m looking forward to progressing my language skills and learning from people with different professional backgrounds. I’m interested in language diversity and global governance so I think this is the perfect degree to explore options that align with these interests.

Meeting students from all over the world has definitely been a highlight! The opportunity to do an exchange program and internship in other countries is also very exciting, it feels like there are endless options to explore.

Muhammad Huzefa Khan

Academic background: BS in Media and Communication

I have always been passionate about pursuing a career with international exposure, as I believe it broadens one’s perspective and fosters personal and professional growth. To achieve this, understanding and learning about diverse cultures is essential. The Master’s program in Intercultural Management aligns perfectly with my aspirations as it provides the tools and knowledge to navigate cultural diversity effectively. This program will not only enhance my ability to work in global environments but also prepare me to build meaningful connections across different cultures, which is a skill I value deeply for my future career.

I expect the ICM (Intercultural Management) program to enhance my understanding of cultural diversity and equip me with skills for effective cross-cultural communication and management. Academically, it will deepen my knowledge of intercultural theories and practices, while professionally, it will prepare me for roles in global organizations where navigating cultural differences is essential. This program aligns with my goal of building a career with international exposure and contributing meaningfully to diverse teams.

The main advantage of the ICM program for me is the opportunity to learn about culture while being immersed in a multicultural environment. Studying in a different cultural setting and interacting with a diverse group of peers allows me to gain firsthand experience of cultural diversity. This not only enhances my understanding of intercultural dynamics but also helps me develop practical skills to collaborate and communicate effectively across cultures.

Ekanem Udeme

Nigeria, 35

Academic background: Bachelor’s degree in Applied Linguistics

The modules fascinate me as they align with my career goal to become part of a management team of a multinational organization. It cuts across interculturality, migration, management, and business studies, among others. These courses typically include practical case studies and real-world applications, preparing you to address complex issues like managing multicultural teams, negotiating across borders, or designing inclusive organizational strategies.

I look forward to developing credible knowledge on how to manage a multinational team and to understanding how to successfully function as a manager in creating a diverse, equitable, and inclusive working environment for everyone. Working with multinational course mates firstly builds your intercultural communication skills and helps develop diversity understanding, which I think is a big leap to a successful international career.
